Fran Drescher
Multi-talented Fran Drescher has established herself as an actress, producer and writer. As co-creator, executive producer, writer and star on the hit CBS series The Nanny, she has received an Emmy nomination and two Golden Globe nominations. Equally at home on the big screen, Drescher recently co-starred in Francis Ford Coppola's feature Jack, opposite Robin Williams. She also became a best-selling author last year, with the publication of her autobiography Enter Whining.
Born and raised in Queens, Drescher made her screen debut in the seminal film Saturday Night Fever. Soon after, she appeared in such films as American Hot Wax, The Hollywood Knights and Ragtime. While filming Dr. Detroit, with Dan Aykroyd, Rob Reiner cast her as 'Bobbi Flekman' in the cult classic This is Spinal Tap. The role brought her national attention and led to starring roles in Cadillac Man, opposite Robin Williams and Tim Robbins, and We're Talking Serious Money. Other film credits include U.H.F., The Big Picture, It Had To Be You and Car 54, Where Are You? with Rosie O'Donnell.
On television, she starred in the CBS series Princesses, opposite Twiggy and Julie Haggerty.
