Barbara Barrie
An Oscar, Emmy, and Tony Award-nominee, as well as an Obie Desk Award and Best Actress Award winner at the Cannes Film Festival, Barrie has established a solid career in film, television, and theatre. Some of her film credits include Breaking Away, which she received her Academy Award nomination, Private Benjamin and Hercules. She won her Best Actress Award at the Cannes Film Festival for her role in One Potato, Two Potato.
Barrie's television credits include the telefilm, My Summer As A Girl, Scarlett, The Odd Couple: Together Again, and Roots II. She played recurring roles in the television series thirtysomething, and Barney Miller, and guest-starred in The Commish, Family Ties, and Law & Order, for which she received her Emmy Award nomination. She earned her Tony Award nomination for her performance in the Broadway production Company, and has completed several other Broadway productions such as The Selling of the President, and the off-Broadway production The Crucible.
In addition, she has been active in many New York and American Shakespeare festivals, performing in classics like The Taming of the Shrew, and Hamlet.
