Biography #2 (for Dark Blue)

Kurt Russell has been delivering memorable dramatic and comedic film performances for over 40 years. His films include several with John Carpenter, including Escape from L.A., Escape from New York, The Thing, Big Trouble in Little China, and the acclaimed telefilm Elvis, for which Russell received an Emmy nomination. His other films include Breakdown, Stargate, Mike Nichols' Silkwood, Robert Zemeckis' Used Cars, and Jonathan Demme's Swing Shift, followed by Overboard, Tequila Sunrise, Tango & Cash, and Backdraft. He has also starred in The Mean Season, The Best of Times, Winter People, Captain Ron and Unlawful Entry.

Russell's long association with Disney Studios spanned more than 20 years. He completed 10 films, including Follow Me, Boys, The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes, The Barefoot Executive and The Fox and the Hound, and appeared in several episodes of The Wonderful World of Disney. Other television credits include Amber Waves and The Deadly Tower, in which he portrayed the Texas murderer Charles Whitman. More recently, Russell was seen in Soldier, 3000 Miles to Graceland, and Vanilla Sky.
