Myles Berkowitz

Myles Berkowitz makes his feature film debut with 20 Dates, the brutally honest story of his own unfolding romantic comedy.

While juggling a busy career as a waiter, Berkowitz wrote and sold several teleplays and television series' episodes. The highlight of his television career was writing episodes of Tales From The Crypt for HBO, including the Cable ACE-nominated episode Top Bill starring Jon Lovitz. Most recently, Berkowitz created his own TV show for MTM called The Beef. He wrote, directed and starred in many of the stories that appeared on the series and was nominated for an Cable ACE Award this past year.

Berkowitz studied political science at the University of Pennsylvania and marketing at the Wharton School of Business, paying for his education by acting in commercials for Coke, Pepsi, McDonald's, Burger King and the U.S. Army. Following graduation, he studied acting with John Strasberg in New York and starred in several off-Broadway productions. Upon moving to Los Angeles, he began writing for television, working with producers at Universal, Paramount, Columbia, Lorimar and NBC.

Berkowitz and Elisabeth, one of his 20 dates, are happily engaged to be married.
