Darin Scott

Darin Scott is a director, writer, and producer of feature films. He will be wearing all three hats for his next movie, The 'Hood That Dripped Blood.

He made his directorial debut on Caught Up, for which he also wrote the original screenplay; the film starred Bokeem Woodbine, Cynda Williams, Clifton Powell, and Tony Todd.

Mr. Scott's feature credits as both screenwriter and producer include Jeff Burr's From a Whisper to a Scream (a.k.a. The Offspring), the cast of which included Vincent Price and Rosalind Cash; and two collaborations with writer/director Rusty Cundieff, Sprung (starring Tisha Campbell and Paula Jai Parker) and Tales from the 'Hood (starring Clarence Williams III).

Among his other producing credits are Allen and Albert Hughes' acclaimed Menace II Society, starring Larenz Tate of Waist Deep; Charles Burnett's To Sleep with Anger, starring Danny Glover; Jeff Burr's Stepfather II, starring Terry O'Quinn; C.M. Talkington's Love and a .45, starring Renée Zellweger; Rusty Cundieff's Fear of a Black Hat; and Gary Hardwick's hit The Brothers.

Mr. Scott is also the co-founder and CEO of CinemaGraphix Entertainment; CinemaGraphix is a development, licensing, and production company that publishes comic books and graphic novels. Prior to entering the film business, he studied chemical engineering at the University of Southern California.
