Gordon was originally an actor in off-Broadway theatre, who turned to writing for the stage, eventually moving into television. He was responsible for the writing of numerous variety shows and pilots for artists ranging from Steve Martin
to The Pointer Sisters. He has also directed for television, including episodes of the series The Wonder Years
and Bakersfield, P.D
Los Angeles' Mark Taper Forum was where, as a playwright, Gordon first began writing screenplays. His screenplay for PIE IN THE SKY was developed with the assistance of Sundance Institute's Screenwriters and Filmmakers workshops. Gordon recently completed a script entitled, Late Love, and is currently writing a script for Universal titled Momentum, situated in the behind-the-scenes world of sports broadcasting.
