Seth MacFarlane
As Family Guy progressed, MacFarlane went on to receive an Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance for his role as Stewie Griffin. In 2002, he also received an Emmy for Outstanding Music and Lyrics for Family Guy. In 2009, Family Guy became the only animated show since The Flintstones, in 1961, to be nominated for a primetime Emmy in the Outstanding Comedy Series category. Family Guy previously garnered three nominations for Outstanding Animated Program.
In addition to Family Guy, MacFarlane also serves as co-creator/executive producer/voice actor on FOX's animated series American Dad! and The Cleveland Show. He is also executive producing a 21st-century version of the classic animated comedy The Flintstones and Cosmos: A Space-Time Odyssey, an updated 13-part docuseries about Carl Sagan's iconic exploration of the universe as revealed by science. Both will be on the FOX schedule in 2013.
MacFarlane is also an experienced live performer having played to sold-out audiences at London's Royal Albert Hall and New York's Carnegie Hall. His debut album, Music is Better Than Words, which was released by Universal Republic Records, debuted at No. 1 on the iTunes jazz chart on September 27, 2011, and received two Grammy Award nominations, including one for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album. A fully-orchestrated album, it features MacFarlane singing some of the hidden musical gems of the '40s and '50s. Introducing this rich sound and classic integrity to a new audience, the album features duets with beloved artists Norah Jones and Sara Bareilles.
September 2011 marked MacFarlane's return as the roastmaster for Comedy Central's Emmy-nominated Roast franchise. He is the only three-time returning roastmaster.
