'S most recent short film, MARY LAST SEEN, premiered at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival and made its European premiere at 2010 Director's Fortnight in Cannes, where it won the PRIX SFR for Best Short before going on to screen at New York Film Festival, London, and AFI.
A co-founder of Borderline Films, a New York City based production company, Sean has also produced three feature films including his Borderline partner Antonio Campos' acclaimed AFTERSCHOOL for which Sean was nominated for a 2009 Independent Spirit Award for Best First Feature. AFTERSCHOOL premiered at the 2008 Cannes Film Festival and has gone on to screen at many festivals around the world, including New York Film Festival, Berlin and AFI. AFTERSCHOOL was also nominated for two Gotham Awards and was released theatrically by IFC Films in October 2009. More recently, Sean executive produced the feature TWO GATES OF SLEEP, directed by Alistair Banks Griffin. The film premiered at 2010 Director's Fortnight in Cannes and was distributed by Factory 25 earlier this year. Sean also produced the upcoming Antonio Campos-directed SIMON KILLER.
