Dan Wyllie

Dan Wyllie is a highly regarded Australian actor who has worked extensively in theater, film and television. His breakthrough role in the 1990 film The Efficiency Expert, alongside Anthony Hopkins, was followed by notable film performances in the hit comedy Muriel's Wedding, alongside Toni Collette; Romper Stomper, with Russell Crowe; Jane Campion's Holy Smoke; Terrence Malick's The Thin Red Line; P.J. Hogan's Peter Pan; and the acclaimed Chopper.

Wyllie's television performances include a leading role in the award-winning series Love My Way, which garnered him several award nominations as well as the Silver Logie Award for Most Outstanding Actor in a Drama Series. His other credits include Underbelly; Two Twisted, produced by Bryan Brown; the Australian Broadcasting Corporation's Bastard Boys; and the lead role in the miniseries The Shark Net.

Wyllie's close association with Sydney's Company B Belvoir St. Theatre and its former artistic director Neil Armfield includes productions of The Lieutenant of Inishmore, The Alchemist, Suddenly Last Summer and Twelfth Night and, most memorably, the international tour of Tim Winton's Cloudstreet, in which he starred as Fish Lamb.
