Jodelle Ferland

At the tender age of 14, Jodelle Ferland has already built up an impressive resume filled with roles in film, television, radio, voice work and commercials. Born in 1994 in Nanaimo, British Columbia, she landed her first lead role in the television feature MERMAID at the age of four, with her portrayal of the heartbroken Desi earning her a Daytime Emmy Award nomination and making her the youngest nominee in history. That performance also earned her a Young Artist Award of Hollywood.

Since then, she has appeared in almost 30 more films and television series, including a lead role in the hit horror film SILENT HILL. In 2004, she landed the lead role of Jeliza-Rose in Terry Gilliam's TIDELAND, a film about a disturbed young girl who finds solace in her own imagination after the death of her mother.

On television, she has been seen starring in Stephen King's KINGDOM HOSPITAL and was recently seen in the title role of the Hallmark Hall of Fame movie PICTURES OF HOLLIS WOODS, directed by Tony Bill and also starring Sissy Spacek and Aflre Woodard.

Ferland will next be seen in the feature WONDERFUL WORLD, starring alongside Matthew Broderick and Ally Walker.
