Jill Green

Formerly the managing director of the prestigious award-winning production company Red Rooster Films and Television, Jill Green branched out in 1998 to set up her own boutique independent production company Greenlit.

Concentrating exclusively on high-concept, high-quality film and television projects, Greenlit has successfully produced such top-rated telefilms as Terry Johnson's The Man Who Lost His Head and Michael Samuels' Caught in a Trap; suchminiseries as Bill Eagles' Menace andDavid Drury's Trust;and such series as Honest and Vexed.

Greenlit's flagship program has been the BAFTA Award-winning series Foyle's War, starring Michael Kitchen and created by award-winning writer Anthony Horowitz. It recently aired its seventh season, and has been sold worldwide to 30 countries. In November 2009, Ms. Green produced and Mr. Horowitz created the U.K.'s largest-viewed event drama, Collision. With a principal cast of 73 actors, the program was stripped across 5 consecutive evenings, airing on ITV1 to critical acclaim and 8 million viewers nightly. An American version of Collision is being produced.

Greenlit was sold to the Target Entertainment Group in early 2008, retaining Ms. Green at the helm with mandates for an expanded feature film strategy and more presence in the U.S. Accordingly, Greenlit has had several of its miniseries optioned for feature film versions, including The Swap (directed by David Drury) and Trust,both to U.S. studios.

Ms. Green is currently producing the feature Miss Garnet's Angel with her fellow The American producer Ann Wingate and Rainmark Films. Also in feature development are Mafia Princess, adapted from the book by Marisa Merico; and Codenames Only,with director Saul Dibb.
