Paula Rivera
Paula Rivera's most recent credits include the Gemini Award-winning hit series FLASHPOINT as well as the upcoming mini-series BLOODLETTING & MIRACULOUS CURES, based on the Scotiabank Giller Prize winning novel. Paula has also appeared in the popular series THE COLLECTOR and has also participated in such television movies as CTV's Gemini nominated THE TERRORIST NEXT DOOR, Lifetime's WISEGAL and CBC's Gemini winner VICTOR, THE VICTOR DAVIS STORY.
A native of Mexico City, Rivera studied law and political science before deciding to pursue a career in the arts. She started dancing at a young age and eventually came to Vancouver to further pursue dance. She honed her dramatic and acting skills by appearing in a number of theatrical productions in Vancouver and Toronto. Some of these productions include Studio 16's Lion in the Streets and Twelfth Night. She also wrote and starred in Every Girl Wants A Skirt Like Frida's, in the Toronto Fringe Festival. Rivera currently resides in Toronto.
