Laura Soltis

Since moving to Vancouver, Laura Soltis has established herself as one of the city's premier actors. She has had recurring guest star roles on such television series as THE GUARD, BLACK SASH and GODIVA. Additional credits include guest-starring roles on MASTERS OF SCIENCE FICTION, THE COLLECTOR, THE CHRIS ISAAK SHOW and COLD SQUAD. Soltis has also starred in numerous television movies including The Secret Lives of Second Wives, Home By Christmas, Double Cross, and The Party Never Stops: Diary of a Binge Drinker. Her feature film credits include Snitch and Lionsgate Film Man About Town starring Ben Affleck.

A Chicago-native, Soltis comes from a performing family. Her mother, a choreographer, founded her own ballet company while her grandfather was in the circus. Soltis' career in the spotlight launched when she captured the lead dance role of Eliza in The King and I. At 19, she joined the cast of Evita at the Shubert Theatre and then traveled nationally with the show for two years.

Her subsequent theatrical career took her to Los Angeles where she landed such roles as Lola in Damn Yankees, Sheila in A Chorus Line, and Dorothy in Nite Club Confidential. Laura decided to make Vancouver her home while on tour with Ragtime.
