Joe Jonas stars as Joe Lucas, the fearless, attention grabbing lead singer of the group in the Disney Channel comedy series JONAS.

Born August 15, 1989, in Casa Grande, Arizona, and raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey, Joe was exposed to music at an early age, but had no intention of becoming a singer, and instead wanted to be a comedic actor. But when he accompanied brother Nick to an audition for the Broadway musical Oliver, the director wondered aloud if Nick had a brother who could sing too. That comment ultimately gave Joe the motivation to pursue music as a career. With Joe performing lead vocals, tambourine and occasionally guitar, he and his brothers formed Jonas Brothers in 2004.

In 2008, Joe showcased his multiple talents - acting, singing and dancing - in the role of Shane Gray in the Disney Channel Original Movie Camp Rock.

Grammy-nominated recording artists the Jonas Brothers play three rock star brothers - Kevin, Joe and Nick Lucas - in the single camera comedy series JONAS, debuting in 2009 on Disney Channel.

In 2008 the Platinum-certified recording artists (Kevin, Joe and Nick Jonas) added television movie acting roles to their impressive resumes with the music and dance-filled Disney Channel Original Movie, Camp Rock, which has now been seen by over 100 million Total Viewers worldwide.

Their third album, A Little Bit Longer, debuted at #1 in August 2008 and has since gone Platinum in the United States and Platinum or Gold in 27 nations outside the U.S. With its debut, Jonas Brothers became the first group to have three albums in the Top 10 in a single week (A Little Bit Longer, the self-titled sophomore album Jonas Brothers and the Camp Rock soundtrack).

Along with three chart-topping albums, they sold out two U.S. concert tours: the Burnin' Up tour, which had three Madison Square Gardens performances, and the Look Me in the Eyes Tour, which sold out in two minutes at the Los Angeles Gibson Amphitheater (the fastest sellout in the venue's 36-year history). Jonas Brothers also toured Europe for the first time with rock star Avril Lavigne, and during the release of A Little Bit Longer, played to sold out audiences in major North American venues, including Toronto and Woodstock.

In November 2008, Kevin, Joe and Nick released their first book, Burning Up: On Tour with the Jonas Brothers from Disney Publishing, which was number one on the New York Times Bestsellers list for its category. In February 2009, Kevin, Joe and Nick will star in Walt Disney Studios Jonas Brothers - The 3D Concert Experience feature film, which was shot during the Burnin' Up tour.

Among their many accolades, Jonas Brothers have won five Teen Choice Awards, the Kids Choice Award for Best New Group, an American Music Award (AMA) for Breakthrough Artist and an award for Best English Act in Mexico.

In addition to their music videos, they were featured on Disney Channel in a concert special, Jonas Brothers in Concert, originating from New York's Gramercy Park, and starred in Jonas Brothers: Living the Dream, a short-form reality series giving viewers a look at their lives while on tour, which debuted on Disney Channel in May 2008.

Jonas Brothers started a foundation, Change for the Children (www.changeforthechildren.org), to support programs that motivate and inspire children to face adversity with confidence, determination and a will to succeed. Supporting children with Diabetes is an important focus of the foundation;

Nick Jonas was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and, through a partnership with Bayer and its My CONTOUR Meter, has launched www.nickssimplewins.com, where he gives simple tips for managing diabetes.

Raised in Wyckoff, New Jersey, the three Jonas brothers grew up in a family rich with faith. Their parents are both musicians -- dad Kevin Sr. is also an ordained minister and mom Denise is a special education teacher. They now live in Los Angeles with their parents and younger brother, Frankie.
