Eriko Tamura

ERIKO is best known to American audiences for her guest appearances on the television series Heroes, as Hiro, a love interest to Masi Oka's character. She made her American film debut as one of the leads in Surf School.

In Japan, Eriko is a well-known actress who has had leading roles in over 15 films and television series. She made her screen debut at the age of 13 in the film Flowery Afternoon, directed by Kazuki Omori, best known in the U.S. for his Godzilla film series.

Eriko was signed as a series regular on Go with the Wild, a primetime television show on Fuji Television. She then starred in the mini-series My Beloved Ultra Seven, a docu-drama depicting the life of famed actress Japanese actress Yuriki Hishimi.

Eriko was then cast in the NHK Annual Premiere Period drama Hideyoshi, in which she portrayed a tragic woman of historical renown, who endured severe persecution as Japan's first woman to convert to Christianity.

In addition to her acting accomplishments, Eriko has enjoyed remarkable success as a singer, having released ten original albums, and 15 singles from Toshiba EMI. She has been the spokesperson for a variety of international companies and has been featured on the cover of most of Japan's top magazines.
