Matthew Vaughn

Matthew Vaughn is a leading British filmmaker who has produced, written and directed an impressive array of films. Vaughn began his career as producer with Guy Ritchie‘s Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, and Snatch (starring Brad Pitt), both of which received wide acclaim. Through his production company MARV Films, Vaughn‘s directorial debut was Layer Cake starring Daniel Craig. Stardust, starring Robert De Niro and Michelle Pfeiffer, followed, which Vaughn directed and co-wrote with writing partner Jane Goldman. In 2009, Vaughn produced Harry Brown, starring Michael Caine, and The Debt, starring Helen Mirren and Sam Worthington, which Vaughn also co-wrote. Most recently, Vaughn directed, co-wrote and produced Kick-Ass, starring Aaron Johnson, Nicolas Cage and Chloe Moretz, released in 2010. X-MEN: FIRST CLASS, which Vaughn directed and co-wrote, is his first picture with Twentieth Century Fox.
