Kyle Glass
KYLE GASS and Jack Black met as members of Tim Robbins' Actors Gang ensemble theatre troupe. They created their comedy rock band, Tenacious D, in the mid-90's.
Gass, who was born and raised in Northern California also leads the five-man band Trainwreck which features JR Reed (who plays Lee, The D's most ardent fan) as lead singer and includes Nate Rothacker on drums, John Konesky on electric guitar, John Spiker on bass and vocals..
An accomplished actor as well as a musician, Gass made his feature film debut in Jacobs Ladder. His other feature motion picture credits include Elf, Almost Famous, Shallow Hal, Saving Silverman, The Cable Guy, and The Cradle Will Rock among others. He also appeared in iconic TV shows Seinfeld, Friends and Undeclared.
