Godfrey
His television host credits include such diverse shows as The Best Commercials You've Never Seen, MTV's I Bet You Will, Spring Break's Full Body Search, HBO's 30 By 30 Kid Flicks, and VH1's A Rock of Ages and Undercover. He has also guest starred on the Chris Rock Show and LateLine which called for an authentic African accent, which proved to be a stroke of good luck since his parents were Nigerian immigrants.
He began doing comedy in his native Chicago for the Comedy Channel's Comic Justice and Bernie Mac's HBO series Midnight Mac. His other comedic appearances include Friday Night Videos, Comedy Central's Premium Blend and BET's Comicview. This led to his own MTV special as the stand-up to watch on A True Life: I Am a Comic. He next appeared on the Bravo network series, The It Factor. He may be best known though as the 7-UP guy in the soft drink's national commercial campaign.
In addition to appearing on VH1's I Love the 80s & 90s and BET's 25 Finest Women, his half hour stand-up special has been selected by Comedy Central to be released on the network's first stand-up comedy DVD. Godfrey's first comedy CD, Shut your Mouth, is set for release. He can be seen performing regularly in both New York and Los Angeles's best comedy spots such as The Laugh Factory, The Improv, The Comedy Cellar, Comic Strip and Caroline's Comedy Club.
