David Bamber is a British actor, known for his television and theatre work.

Bamber has been seen in several British television series and mini-series, including Chalk and The Buddha of Suburbia, as well as the BBC's well known and loved 1995 television adaptation of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, in which he played the comic character, Mr Collins. His most international television role to date is the role of Marcus Tullius Cicero in the HBO/BBC2 original television series, Rome.

He is also a well-known theatre actor, who won the 1995 Laurence Olivier Theatre Award for Best Actor for his role of Guy in My Night with Reg. He is active in the theatre community as well, being an Associate Member of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art.

David Bamber has perfomed roles as a voice actor, including a part in the Doctor Who audio drama, The Council of Nicaea.

He is married to the British actress Julia Swift, daughter of British actor David Swift.
