Rafael Yglesias has published eight novels including Fearless, which he adapted to the screen for Peter Weir to direct. His other screen adaptations are Death and the Maiden for Roman Polanski, Les Miserables for Bille August, and From Hell for Allen and Albert Hughes. Yglesias was born in Manhattan, has lived there all of his life, and tries to stay away from Roosevelt Island-especially in the rain.
