Francis Lawrence
Francis Lawrence made his feature film directorial debut with Constantine, based on the Hellblazer comic book, starring Keanu Reeves and Rachel Weisz. He followed that film with the 2007 hit, I Am Legend, a science fiction/horror/action/disaster film adapted from the Richard Matheson novel of the same name, starring Will Smith.
Lawrence is also a noted music video director with a Latin Grammy Award for his work with Shakira on Whenever Whatever. Lawrence worked with Lady Gaga on the video, Bad Romance, which won the Video Music Award of the Year at the VMA Awards. He has also worked with Jay Z, Britney Spears, Pink, Gwen Stefani, Jennifer Lopez, Aerosmith, Janet Jackson, among others, and has been awarded numerous video music awards.
On television, Lawrence was the director of the pilot and several episodes of the series Kings, on which he also served as executive producer.
