Biography #2 (for Big Love)

Hailing from Memphis, Tennessee, Ginnifer Goodwin's was recently seen in Walk the Line, where she played Johnny Cash's first wife. Her breakthrough role came in 2004's Mona Lisa Smile, starring alongside Julia Roberts, Marcia Gay Harden and Kirsten Dunst. She also appeared in Win A Date With Tad Hamilton! Prior to that, she could be seen as a regular on NBC's Ed, as the cynical, bookish Diane Snyder.

Goodwin also acquired a breadth of experience in English theatre. She studied at Stratford-upon-Avon's Shakespeare Institute, in conjunction with the Royal Shakespeare Company. She earned an Acting Shakespeare Certificate at London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, where she played Joan of Arc, Ophelia and Jessica in The Merchant of Venice. A few years later, she attended the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.

At Boston University, Goodwin performed at the Huntington Theater, in productions such as Dead End with Broadway director Nicholas Martin. She also starred in the following productions: All the Way Home and As You Like It in which she starred as Rosalind. Subsequently, Goodwin was awarded with the Excellence in Acting: Professional Promise Award by The Bette Davis Foundation.

After college graduation, Ginnifer quickly got a small role on Law and Order. Soon after NBC's Ed welcomed Goodwin as a regular. She also starred in Comedy Central's collaboration with Tribeca Films: Porn N Chicken.

Biography #3 (for Win a Date With Tad Hamilton!)

Ginnifer Goodwin is currently starring alongside Julia Roberts, Julia Stiles and Kirsten Dunst in Mike Newell's Mona Lisa Smile, playing a Wellesley College student in the 1950s. She was also recently a regular on the acclaimed NBC series Ed.

Born in Memphis, Tennessee, Goodwin is a classically trained actress who holds a BFA in Acting from Boston University. In 1997, she studied in England at Stratford-Upon-Avon's Shakespeare Institute, in conjunction with the Royal Shakespeare Company. The following year, she earned an Acting Shakespeare Certificate at London's Royal Academy of Dramatic Art. She returned to England in 2000 to attend the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. During her senior year at BU, Goodwin performed in a number of student films, and several college and local stage productions. She was presented with the Excellence in Acting: Professional Promise Award by the Bette Davis Foundation and graduated with honors.

Moving to New York City, Goodwin landed a guest role on an episode of Law & Order. In 2002, she joined the cast of Ed as the bookishly cynical Diane Snyder. During her hiatus, she played Maya in the independent film comedy Porn 'n Chicken.
