Biography #2 (for Invasion)

Kari Matchett burst onto the Los Angeles scene in January 2004, when she was cast as the lead in the television miniseries 5ive Days to Midnight, opposite Timothy Hutton. The film marked a reunion for the two stars who had worked together for two seasons on Hutton's critically acclaimed Nero Wolfe series.

Born in Spalding, Saskatchewan — where passing motorists can now see a sign welcoming them to the birthplace of Kari Matchett! — and raised in Lethbridge, Alberta, Matchett moved to Montreal in her late teens to study at Canada's prestigious National Theatre School. In 2001 she landed a guest appearance on the series Blue Murder — for which she won a Gemini Award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Guest Role — and was subsequently invited to join the show as one of four leads. She was also nominated for Gemini Awards for her work on Power Play and A Colder Kind of Death.

Matchett's list of acting credits also includes leads in the Canadian box office smash, Men with Brooms, the 2004 pilot "The Webster Report, opposite Stanley Tucci, the telefilm Say When, with Joe Montegna, and a supporting role in the Jennifer Lopez feature Angel Eyes.

After literally dozens of starring roles in film, television and theater in her native Canada, Matchett welcomes the role in Invasion as an opportunity to spread her wings south of the border.

Biography #3 (for Cube 2: Hypercube)

Calgary, Alberta native Kari Matchett studied acting at Canada's National Theatre School, where she spent three years, and at the Moscow Theatre School. She has appeared onstage in Stratford Festival productions of The Country Wife and The Merry Wives of Windsor in Stratford, Toronto. She also worked on several telefilms, starred in the movie Apartment Hunting (2000) and in the ensemble cast of UPN's sports-agent series Power Play,and had featured roles in films including Jennifer Lopez's Angel Eyes (2001) and Cube director Vincenzo Natali's Cypher (2002). The versatile Matchett has played several different roles on the cable series A Nero Wolfe Mystery, as well as two different recurring roles (Siobhan Beckett and Rho'ha) on Earth: Final Conflict.
