Aimee Garcia
An accomplished dancer, Garcia made her professional stage debut at age 7 in the ballet Cinderella at Chicago's Auditorium Theatre. By the age of 12, she was performing twenty shows per month starring as Clara in The Nutcracker. Her stage credits also include Journey of the Sparrows, for which the Chicago Tribune named her Best Actress, and Island of the Blue Dolphins, which was nominated for seven Joseph Jefferson Awards.
After graduating from Northwestern with degrees in Economics and Journalism, Garcia made her way to Wall Street. After establishing herself in the market as a mutual fund analyst, she decided to try her luck in Hollywood, safe in the knowledge that she could always return to her career in the financial world.
Garcia followed her dream to Los Angeles where she soon landed guest appearances on The WB's Angel, ER, Resurrection Blvd., Chicago Hope, Early Edition and the television movie Cadet Kelly. Garcia, who is of Mexican and Puerto Rican descent, was featured in the series American Family alongside Edward James Olmos, Raquel Welch and Esai Morales. Last season, Garcia starred in The WB comedy Greetings From Tucson. She also appeared in the films The Good Girl, Betaville and the recently completed Boricua.
When she is not working, Garcia tutors junior high and high school students in Spanish and uses her Wall Street experience to advise her friends on their financial investments. An avid athlete, Garcia hits the mountains every weekend to ski, snowboard, rock climb and hike.
