Ron Matthews

On Stage Ron co-starred opposite Elizabeth Ashley as her love interest in If Memory Serves and as 7 different characters in Straight Jacket, both Off-Broadway. Ron also was the understudy to Billy Crudup in the Circle in the Square's Broadway production of Bus Stop with Mary Louise Parker.

Some Off-Off Broadway highlights include: Achilles in Penthesillia (The Ontological), God's Creatures (The Lark Theatre), and Ron directed Zzoomm Zzoomm the Magic Clown which won an OBIE Award for Best Production.

Regionally, Ron has appeared as Brick in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Hal Carter in Picnic, Lee in True West, Cabaret, The Three Musketeers, and literally hundreds of productions of Shakespeare's works, mainly at the Shakespeare Theatre (formerly the Folger) in Washington DC.

On Television Ron has appeared in recurring roles on Guiding Light, All my Children, and Another World. Ron has also been seen on Leap of Faith, Spin City, and Third Watch where Ron was able to fulfill one of his acting goals of dying and being shocked back to life by a defibrillator. As if that were not highlight enough, Ron also played the wanted criminal on America's Most Wanted.

Other than Girls Will Be Girls, Ron is starring in another film that is making the festival rounds, Corporate Playground. Ron is also in the Warner Brothers production Daredevil that was released on Feb. 14th 2003.
