was born in Los Angeles and attended school on both coasts. He acted in a few school plays, but his main interests were music, painting and history. He worked on the camera crew of Wonder Boys and as a production assistant on Bringing Out the Dead. His first time in front of the camera occurred while Douglas worked as a DJ at the New York club, Tunnel. A friend asked if he wanted to play the small role of DJ in an independent film, and the experience piqued his interest in acting. Douglas enrolled in classes in New York.
In addition to pursuing an acting career, Cameron remains involved with music. After serving as resident DJ for both Limelight and Tunnel, Cameron formed his own record label, Scared Souls. He has also deejayed for exclusive parties throughout the world, including several for Vanity Fair magazine.
