Anthony Russell

Anthony Russell has parlayed an extensive talent for music into an acting career that includes stage, film and television productions.

As a child Russell played harmonica, ukulele, guitar, trombone and piano. He worked his way through Montclair State College playing and singing in a band and soon after was booked as a Las Vegas lounge act.

Russell studied acting at HB Studios and earned a membership in the Actors Studio. He also pursued standup comedy, making appearances on The Merv Griffin Show and The Dinah Shore Show, among others.

His many film appearances include Bugsy, Casino and Ed Wood. On TV he has guest-starred on shows such as NYPD Blue, Home Improvement, Mad About You and Roseanne.

Russell continues to play piano every day, loving the classic composers of American music, and he has a jazz band in which he sings, plays, does standup and generally has a wail of a time. When time allows, he continues to work regularly at The Riviera Hotel in Las Vegas as a standup comedian.
