Reggie Rock Bythewood
Reggie Rock Bythewood made his film directorial debut on the acclaimed independent feature Dancing in September. Bythewood also wrote the film, which was screened as an official selection at the 2001 Sundance Film Festival. His other feature film writing credits include the screenplay for Spike Lee's drama Get On the Bus.
A native New Yorker who grew in the Bronx, Bythewood began his career in television. He was a staff writer for the comedy hit A Different World, originally starring Lisa Bonet, which was a spin-off of The Cosby Show. He later served as a supervising producer on the hit cop drama New York Undercover.
