One of Hollywood's most promising young actresses, Jennifer is best known to television audiences for her recent role as Sarah Webber on the popular ABC daytime drama General Hospital. She also guest-starred as hot-headed young warrior Amarice in four episodes of Xena: Warrior Princess this fall, having first appeared as the character in the final two episodes last season.
Born and raised in Palm Beach, Florida, Jennifer began her professional life as a model at age 13. She spent her early teenage years juggling her high school studies with modeling assignments and television commercials in nearby Miami. At the age of 17, she moved to New York and was soon featured on the cover of Sassy magazine. But it wasn't long before she realized that performing was her real love and she returned home to begin acting classes.
After making her professional acting debut in an episode of SeaQuest, Jennifer was cast in Emerald Cove, a serial featured on The Disney Channel's Mickey Mouse Club revolving around teenagers in a fictional beach town in Florida. She joined the series immediately following the departure of actress Keri Russell and recurred in the role of Lisa Foxworth over the next several months.
Jennifer returned to New York to continue her acting studies and was soon cast as a kooky young model in the feature film Trigger Happy, which was recently shown at the 1999 Slam Dunk Festival in conjunction with the Sundance Film Festival.
Shortly before she turned 20, Jennifer relocated to Los Angeles and guest-starred in an episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer before landing the role of good girl Sarah Webber in General Hospital. She remained with the show for a year, moving on to guest star in such series as Pacific Blue and Sins of the City. She also appeared in the television movie Our Son and the Matchmaker with Ann Jillian.
In early 1999, Jennifer was cast as the hot-tempered young Amazon Amarice in last season's final two episodes of Xena: Warrior Princess. Impressed by her work, the producers brought her back in that role for four additional episodes this season before casting her in Cleopatra 2525.
To keep in shape for the role, Jennifer works out five days a week with light weights when her busy shooting schedule allows. She also maintains a healthy vegetarian diet that sustains her through the 12-14 hour shooting days typical of dramatic series production.
Jennifer is 22, single and splits her time between Los Angeles and Palm Beach when she's not working abroad. She is passionate about filmmaking and fashion and hopes one day to have her own successful production company. She also loves to travel so she was particularly excited about the opportunity to spend time in New Zealand, where the series is filmed.
