, a native of Boston, started living his life in the limelight at 12 years old as part of the pop phenomenon, New Kids on the Block. The group sold over 35 million albums between 1988 and 1994.
After New Kids on the Block, McIntyre returned to acting, in which he had been involved as a child. He starred in the role of Matt in the film version of The Fantasticks opposite Oscar-winner Joel Grey. His first solo recording, Stay the Same -- the album and top ten single of the same name -- were certified Gold in 1999. McIntyre is currently touring to promote his latest album, Meet Joe Mac, as well as a live album, One Too Many, recorded in New York with his songwriting partner Eman. This year, McIntyre received critical acclaim for his off-Broadway debut when he starred in the Jane Street Theatre production of Jonathan Larson's Tick, Tick...BOOM!
