After a successful career in international modeling, African born Phina Oruche made her film debut in Robert Altman's Pret-a-Porter, and subsequently had featured roles in Sabrina, How Stella Got Her Groove Back and Punks. In addition to a recurring role in the WB network's Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Oruche has guest starred in such series as The Pretender, NYPD Blue, Diagnosis: Murder, and Freaky Links. Oruche has studied with Milton Katselas and Jeffrey Tambor at the Beverly Hills Playhouse and at the Lee Strasberg institute in New York under George Loros and Hope Arthur. She will be making her writing/directing debut in the upcoming Lullaby Lady.
