Biography #2 (for The Tuxedo)Romany Malco can currently be seen in the improvisational comedy The Chateau, in which he stars with Paul Rudd. The Chateau, which premiered at the 2001 Los Angeles Film Festival, has since been screened at film festivals worldwide and recently opened in theatres in limited release. Late last year, Malco starred in the title role of VH1's hit made-for-television movie Too Legit: The M.C. Hammer Story. He previously appeared in the independent film The Prime Gig, starring Vince Vaughn, Ed Harris and Julia Ormond, which debuted at the Venice Film Festival in September 2000.
On television, Malco was a series regular on UPN's sci-fi action series Level 9. In addition, he has guest starred on several series, including For Your Love and Touched By An Angel.
A native of Brooklyn, New York, Malco has also had success as a rap artist. He has contributed songs to several soundtracks and produced hits for such recording artists as CC Peniston, Randy Crawford, and Paula Abdul. In the early 1990s, his band College Boyz landed a recording deal with Virgin Records and scored a number one rap hit with the single Victim of the Ghetto.
