Kevin Donovan

Kevin Donovan makes his feature film directorial debut with The Tuxedo.

An award-winning commercial director, Donovan has enjoyed success in both the American and Canadian markets. He has garnered numerous honors for his commercial work, most recently winning a Silver Lion for his Funeral spot for the University of California, and a Bronze Lion for The Rant for Molson Canadian at the 2000 Cannes Commercial Film Festival. The Rant, statistically the most popular television commercial in Canadian history, was also named Best in Show at the 2001 Marketing Awards and Bessies.

Donovan had earlier won a Bronze Lion for his spot for Centura Bank at the 1996 Cannes Commercial Film Festival. In 1998, he won a Gold Award at the 1998 London International Film Festival for Salon Selectives' Customized Boyfriend spot. The following year he captured Gold twice more for his spots for Salon Selectives' Customized Family and Wyndham Hotel's Cirque du Soleil.

A native of Montana, Donovan attended the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, before moving to New York where he became an art director at Cliff Freeman and Partners. He later turned his focus to directing commercials. In addition to the aforementioned spots, Donovan has created and co-created numerous award-winning commercials for such clients as Pepsi, Little Caesars, and Miller Beer.
