As a consummately skilled guitarist, Lyle Workman has recorded and toured internationally with artists as diverse as the Pixie's front man and founder, Frank Black, Todd Rundgren, Dreams Come True (Japan's largest selling pop group) and currently, Beck. He has played in front of over more than 250,000 people at the Rock-n-Rio Festival in Rio de Janeiro, performed at every major European festival and venue, including Redding, Wembley, Tokyo's Budakon (where the Beatles performed) and on television shows such as Saturday Night Live, The Tonight Show, Conan O'Brien, the VH-1 Fashion Awards, and The American Music Awards, not to mention their equivalent in Europe. He is also sought after as a creative force for albums, sound- tracks, and commercials, working with artists as diverse as Jazz great Tony Williams from the legendary Miles Davis Quintet, to Mel C from and the Spice Girls, and on film scores including Charlie's Angels, Blue Streak, Disney's The Parent Trap, and Miss Congeniality. As a composer Lyle has written a Top 10 hit single and award winning commercials; and his two solo CD projects, Purple Passages, dubbed possibly the best guitar album of the year by Guitar Shop Magazine and Tabula Rasa, have both received international acclaim. Lyle is adept at a wide range of styles, jazz, rock, classical, folk, country, blues, world and pop, while staying true to his unique voice.
