Biography #2 (for Gilmore Girls)

Alexis Bledel is quickly emerging as one of Hollywood's brightest talents in both film and television. She made her television debut in Gilmore Girls and has garnered a 2002 Family Television Award and a 2005 Teen Choice Award for her portrayal of teenager Rory Gilmore.

Bledel recently starred in the feature film The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, with Amber Tamblyn and America Ferrera. She was also a part of the ensemble cast of the Robert Rodriguez film Sin City, with Bruce Willis, Josh Hartnett, Rosario Dawson and Brittany Murphy.

Bledel made her feature film debut in Tuck Everlasting, based on the acclaimed novel by Natalie Babbitt. The film also stars Ben Kingsley, William Hurt, Sissy Spacek and Jonathan Jackson. Bledel's other films include Bride and Prejudice, an Indian musical version of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, directed by Gurinder Chadha (Bend It Like Beckham), and the independent film I Am Reed Fish, opposite Jay Baruchel.

Bledel began her acting career in community theatre in her hometown of Houston. She also modeled in New York during her school breaks. Before winning the role of Rory Gilmore, Bledel attended NYU Film School to study writing and directing.

Bledel made her television debut in The WB's critically acclaimed series Gilmore Girls. Her portrayal of Rory Gilmore earned her the 2002 Family Friendly Forum Award for Best Actress in a Drama, as well as nominations for Choice Actress in a Drama at the 2002, 2003 and 2004 Teen Choice Awards. Named by the Television Critics Association as 2001's Outstanding New Program, Gilmore Girls also stars Lauren Graham, Kelly Bishop and Ed Herrmann.

Most recently, Bledel appeared in the Robert Rodriguez film Sin City, with Bruce Willis, Benicio Del Toro, Josh Hartnett and Rosario Dawson. Other credits include Bride and Prejudice, an Indian musical version of Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice, and the upcoming independent film Orphan King, for writer/director Andrew Wilder.

Biography #4 (for Tuck Everlasting)

Alexis Bledel makes her film debut in Tuck Everlasting, and only recently made her television debut in the WB Network's Gilmore Girls, but the 21-year-old Houston, Texas native has already spent years in front of the camera as a model.

Alexis began acting when she was 8 years old, appearing in community theater in her hometown. She went on to perform in productions of Our Town, The Wizard of Oz and Aladdin, and later was scouted in a local mall to model.

She began her modeling career while still in high school, traveling the world to locations such as Tokyo, Milan, New York and Los Angeles. After graduating, she attended NYU, where she completed her first year as a film major. However, her college plans were put on hold when she landed the coveted role of Rory Gilmore.

For her work on Gilmore Girls, Alexis was recently honored with the 2002 Family Friendly Forum Award for Best Actress in a Drama. She also earned a nomination for Best Actress Drama at the 2002 Teen Choice Awards.
