Biography #2 (for 13 Ghosts)

Moving with ease from comedy to drama, Tony Shalhoub was most recently seen in the sci-fi comedy hit Galaxy Quest and in Spy Kids. He just completed the new Coen brothers' film The Man Who Wasn't There and Life Or Something Like It with Angelina Jolie. Shalhoub's performance opposite Stanley Tucci in the acclaimed independent feature Big Night earned him a Best Supporting Actor award from the National Society of Film Critics.

His long list of film credits include The Siege and Civil Action, Men in Black, Paulie, The Imposters, Gattaca, A Life Less Ordinary, Quick Change, Barton Fink, Longtime Companion, Honeymoon in Vegas, Searching for Bobby Fischer and I.Q.

Television audiences recognize Shalhoub for his role as Italian cab driver Antonio Scarpacci on the NBC series Wings and as Ian Stark on the NBC comedy series Stark Raving Mad.

On Broadway, he appeared in the Tony Award-winning play Conversations With My Father, and the highly acclaimed The Heidi Chronicles. His off-Broadway credits include the Classic Stage Company production of Waiting For Godot, The Public Theatre's Rumeau's Nephew, For Dear Life and Zero Positive. He also appeared in Henry IV, Part 1 and in Richard III, both produced by the New York Shakespeare Festival.

Born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin, Shalhoub received his Master's degree at the Yale School of Drama and spent four years at the American Repertory Theatre in Cambridge, Massachusetts.
