Robin Sachs
After RADA, Robin spent time in various outer-London and provincial repertory theatres performing everything from Shakespeare to Tom Stoppard, Miller to Anouilh and touring various parts of the known world for the British Arts Council and Charles Marovitz. Among his appearances in London's West End were Pirandello's Henry IV with Rex Harrison, Pinero's Gay Lord Quex with Judi Dench, directed by Sir John Gielgud, Pericles with Derek Jacobi and The Astronomer's Garden by Kevin Hood.
His British TV appearances, among others too numerous to be bothered with here, include Brideshead Revisited, Upstairs Downstairs, Rumpole of the Bailey, Quiller, Gentlemen and Players and Diamonds. He starred in the series' Chessgame (The Alamut Ambush, Deadly Recruits, and Cold War Killers) with Terence Stamp, Rob Roy and Life Without George. He was featured in The Disappearance with Donald Sutherland, and played lead roles in the movies Henry VIII, Vampire Circus and A Flame to the Phoenix.
Having long been enamored of the idea of coming to the States, the opportunity arose in the form of a guest-star appearance on Jake and the Fatman and an offer from Aaron Spelling to take over the role of ‘Adam Carrington' in Dynasty for the mini-series. He liked it here, so he stayed! Since then he has guest-starred in many TV series, including, Diagnosis Murder, Nash Bridges, Murder She Wrote, Walker Texas Ranger, Babylon 5, Star Trek Voyager, Herman's Head and Nowhere Man, amongst others, but is probably best known on American TV for the role of Ethan Rayne in Buffy the Vampire Slayer.
His movies since being in the U.S. include featured roles in Spielberg's The Lost World: Jurassic Park and Soderbergh's remake of Ocean's Eleven and leads in Dreamworks' Galaxy Quest, Paramount/360 Entertainment's Ravager and Right Coast Productions' Megalodon.
Robin currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife, Casey.
