Known as the business-minded member of NSYNC, Bass formed a film production company called A Happy Place with Wendy Thorlakson, a former executive in Tom Hanks' Playtone Company. Interested in producing as well as performing, Bass appeared in the WB series 7th Heaven. He was attracted to the romantic storyline of ON THE LINE, and found parallels between his own personality and that of the shy, sweet-natured protagonist, Kevin.
