Garrett Morris

Garrett Morris recently played Jesus in the Polish brothers' first film, Twin Falls Idaho. Morris got his first break as a soloist with Harry Belafonte and remained with the Harry Belafonte Singers for ten years. Morris was one of the original cast members of NBC's Saturday Night Live, where he showcased his comic talents for five years before starring as a series regular on Hunter, Roc, Martin and Cleghorne. He had a recurring role on the long-running series The Jeffersons and has played Junior King on the WB network's The Jamie Foxx Show for the past five years. Television guest-starring appearances include roles on Diff'rent Strokes, The Love Boat, Hill Street Blues, The Wayans Brothers, Murder She Wrote, Married With Children and E.R.

In film, Morris starred in Silent Fury, The Jazz Man, Almost Blue, Cooley High, The Anderson Tapes, Children of the Night, Harriet Tubman, Car Wash, Where's Poppa? and Critical Condition. His most recent films include Pistol Blues and Black Scorpion. He also made a cameo appearance in The Coneheads, which starred fellow Saturday Night Live alumni Dan Aykroyd and Jane Curtin. On stage, Morris has been featured in many productions including the Broadway hits Porgy and Bess, Showboat, The Great White Hope and Ain't Supposed to Die a Natural Death.
