Eric Schweig

Eric was seen most recently in The Big Eden, playing Pike Dexter. His performance was riveting and earned him the Grand Jury Prize Outstanding Actor Award at the Outfest in July 2000. He is currently wrapping up the filming of his new movie, Mr. Barrington directed by Dana Packard and produced by Tom Craig. In August 2001, he was named International Celebrity Spokesperson for the North American Wolf Association (NAWA). He is very proud and thrilled to be working on behalf of these magnificent animals and is in hopes of raising public awareness about their majesty and abuses. Schweig is a renowned artist known for his mask carvings. His work has been sold in Canada, the US, Asia and Europe. His unique and gifted styles of carving as well as his deep personal connection to his hand carved masks are garnering him worldwide attention and increased popularity. Eric's other film credits include such films as Michael Mann's Last of the Mohicans, Roland Joffe's The Scarlet Letter, Peter Medak's Pontiac Moon, Disney's Squanto, and Robert Bouvier's The Shaman's Source. Schweig's television work includes a recurring role on Alliance Production's Due South, HBO's Hollywood Off Ramp, Broken Chain on TNT, and such mini-series as Dead Man's Walk and Beyond The Stars. In addition, Eric has done voice-overs for such films as 500 Nations, the animated Jenny's Song and Image Work.
