Daniel Stern
Stern's earlier film credits include co-starring in two celebrated comedies, Peter Yates' Oscar-winning Breaking Away and Barry Levinson's independent hit Diner; Blue Thunder, opposite Roy Scheider; Robert Redford's The Milagro Beanfield War; Coupe de Ville, directed by Joe Roth; Honky Tonk Freeway; Key Exchange; Born in East L.A.; Leviathan; C.H.U.D.; Hannah and Her Sisters; Stardust Memories; and an appearance as Fred Savage's father in Little Monsters.
Stern also directed young Savage in ten episodes of the popular television series The Wonder Years, for which he provided the grown up narrator voice of Savage's teenage character Kevin Arnold.
Stern studied with Austin Pendleton at the famed H.B. Studios, and appeared on the New York stage in several productions at Joseph Papp's Public Theater, the Manhattan Theater Club, the Ensemble Studio Theater and the Cherry Lane Theater. While performing in New York in 1979, Stern was cast in his feature debut role in Breaking Away.
