Biography #2 (for Pinocchio)
Eric Idle is an actor, director, producer, songwriter and author, but is perhaps best known as one of the most lovable and memorable members of the groundbreaking British comedy troupe Monty Python's Flying Circus. Idle attended Cambridge University, where he served as president of the renowned Footlights Revue. After working on such British television series as Do Not Adjust Your Set and The Frost Report, Idle joined Monty Python's Flying Circus and went on to star in such films as Monty Python and the Holy Grail, The Meaning of Life and Life of Brian. He continued with his own successful film career with credits that include The Adventures of Baron Munchausen, National Lampoon's European Vacation, Burn Hollywood Burn, Wind in the Willows, South Park: Bigger, Longer, Uncut, Dudley Do-Right and 102 Dalmations. On television, Idle has starred in the series Suddenly Susan and the Halloween Disney movie The Scream Team, hosted Saturday Night Live multiple times and created the successful Beatles parodies: The Rutles in All You Need is Cash and The Rutles 2: Can't Buy Me Lunch. He also wrote and directed the premiere episode of Faerie Tale Theatre's Frog Prince, starring with Robin Williams and Teri Garr.
