Biography #2Jake Busey made his motion picture debut at the age of five in Straight Time, but it wasn't until he was in his teens that he decided to make acting a career.
His most recent credits include pilot Ace Levy in Paul Verhoeven's Starship Troopers, the dangerous religious zealot in Contact, a scientist in the blockbuster Twister and as The Grim Reaper in The Frighteners. Prior to that, he starred in the Jeffrey Levy feature SFW and received critical acclaim for his performances in Motorcycle Gang and Rebel Highway, a John Milius film which aired on Showtime and received three CableACE nominations.
Busey's other film credits include I'll Do Anything, The Stoned Age and the short film The Footshooting Party, opposite Leonardo DiCaprio. Busey also starred in one of the final episodes of HBO's Tales from the Crypt, in Shimmer for American Playhouse and the ABC mini-series Cruel Doubt. He will also be seen in the Showtime film Black Cat Run, with Patrick Muldoon.
