Denis Lawson
Lawson began his career with a small role in a 1969 stage production of The_Metamorphosis in London's West End. and has since starred in television dramas such as Rock Follies (1976), Dead Head (1986). During filming of That Uncertain Feeling (1985), he met his future wife, actress Sheila Gish. They lived together for nearly twenty years before marrying in 2004; she died a year later.
He reprised the role of Wedge Antilles in voiceover form, in the Nintendo GameCube game Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 2.
In 2001, Denis Lawson and Andrew Byatt, director of the Scottish Actors' Studio, ran a workshop for actors, called The Actor's Cut. It was a success and Byatt secured the funds for a second workshop, The Actor's Cut 2 in 2004. In both workshops, course topics included reading and deciphering movie scripts, film terminology, working in close up, how to handle directors, technicians, make up and wardrobe people and other actors' egos.
