Johnny Crawford
Crawford was six years old when he first performed in a guest spot on television's Roy Rogers and Hopalong Cassidy shows. After other guest roles on TV, he was a Mousketeer from 1955 to 1956.
He is best known for his role as Mark McCain, the son of Chuck Connors on the television series The Rifleman that ran on ABC television from 1958 to 1963. During this time, he had wide popularity with American teenagers and had a hit single with the song Cindy's Birthday that peaked at #8 on Billboard's Top 40 Hit Chart in 1962.
Crawford also played Horsey, Tommy Kirk's cowboyish sidekick in the 1965 movie Village of the Giants, with Joy Harmon and Beau Bridges.

Crawford had a key role in the early career of Victoria Jackson, of Saturday Night Live fame; appearing together in the same summer stock production, he presented her with a one-way airline ticket to California when the show's run ended, encouraging her to try her luck in Hollywood. This led to her early TV apperances, before being cast in SNL.
