J.R. Bourne

JR BOURNE recently wrapped the lead role of Leo in the feature based on the book by Leonard Cohen, The Favorite Game. Bourne has achieved considerable success as a regular performer on a number of recent television series. Internationally recognized as Martouf on MGM's Stargate SG-1, he also recurred on Bravo's Beggars and Choosers and in David Steinberg's new series Big Sound.

A native of Ontario, Bourne started acting in Canadian television at age 8, and his career began to escalate when a move to Vancouver garnered him a role in the Strange Luck series. He went on to appear in a wide variety of television series including Millennium, The Sentinel, The Crow, Outer Limits and Dead Man's Gun.

His previous feature credits include Cover Story, Josie and the Pussycats, the independent films Jungleground and Exiles in Paradise, as well as a lead role on the made-for-television movie Aftershock.
