Brian Blessed

Brian Blessed portrays the Ghost in HAMLET, which is his third film with director Branagh. Blessed played Antonio in Branagh's Much Ado About Nothing, and the Duke of Exeter in the critically acclaimed Henry V.

Blessed has enjoyed a career that spans film, television and theatre. His other film credits include Catherine the Great, Chasing the Deer, Robin Hood Prince of Thieves, War and Remembrance and Return to Treasure Island.

On television he has appeared in several BBC productions to include My Family and other Animals, Doctor Who, The Little World of Don Camillo, The Black Adder and Brakes Seven. Most recently he was the narrator on the Magic & Mystery Series.

In theatre, he played Claudius in the Royal Shakespeare Company's production of Hamlet and also appeared in Richard III and Henry V for the RSC. Most recently he played the Cowardly Lion in The Wizard of Oz Tour Spring 1995 and Captain Hook in Peter Pan at the Musical Winter Seas and De Montfort Hall.
