Joan Rivers
The first sole, permanent guest host of The Tonight Show starring Johnny Carson, Rivers currently hosts E! Entertainment Television's Fashion Police and live, pre-show commentary for the Academy Awards, Golden Globe Awards, Emmy Awards and Grammy Awards telecasts as well as other red carpet events - along with her daughter, Melissa.
In addition to all of her other accomplishments, Rivers has had unprecedented success with the sale of her Joan Rivers Classics Collection of jewelry, Now & Forever fragrance, Joan Rivers Results skin-care line and Joan Rivers Beauty body treatment, make-up and fragrance selections, all of which are available on QVC.
The author of eight books, Rivers also hosted her own radio show for five years (two hours of talk radio that aired weeknights on WOR in New York and was nationally syndicated in over 40 markets.)
In August 2001, Rivers scored a comic victory with her one-woman show at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. The public and critical success of the Festival appearance led her to the Royal Theatre Haymarket where her April, 2002 engagements of Broke 'n Alone in London, once again, garnered critical praise and earned Rivers the first standing ovation at the Theatre in fourteen years. Rivers' triumphant return to London in June, 2002 was due to her hottest ticket in town status.
