Chandler was born in Buffalo, New York, and raised in Loganville, a small farming community in Georgia. Shortly after being spotted by a talent scout, he made his move to Los Angeles where he immediately landed leading roles in television.
Most recently, Chandler was seen in the hit medical drama Grey's Anatomy, for which he earned an Emmy Award nomination as Best Guest Actor in a Drama Series in 2006, and as Grant in The Lyons Den, starring opposite Rob Lowe. Earlier, Chandler earned critical reviews for his portrayal of Jeff Metcalf in the acclaimed series Homefront, and gained national recognition for his work as the lead role on Early Edition. His other television appearances include a lead role on the series What About Joan, the movie And Starring Pancho Villa as Himself and China Beach.
Chandler can soon be seen on the big screen starring opposite Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Garner in The Kingdom. The film re-teams Chandler and Peter Berg in a thriller about a team of U.S. government agents who are sent to investigate the bombing of an American facility in the Middle East. Additional film credits include the box-office hit King Kong, Mulholland Falls, Angel's Dance, Pure Country and The Color of Evening.
On Broadway, Chandler appeared as Hal Carter in Picnic, opposite Ashley Judd.
A drama graduate from the University of Georgia, Chandler currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters.
