Sandra Oh stars as Rita Wu on the HBO series Arli$$, for which she earned a CableACE Award as well as a Genie Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role. Oh was nominated for an Image Award this year, also for Arli$$. She also received the 2001 NAMIC Vision Award for Best Comedic Performance for her role.

Sandra's talents are not limited to comedic roles. She starred in the Fine Line drama Double Happiness which earned her the 1994 Canadian Genie Award for Best Actress. She also worked on Keith Gordon's Waking the Dead for Egg Pictures with Billy Cruddup and Jennifer Connely, and starred in Don McKellar's Last Night which won the Prix de la Jeunnesse in the 1998 Cannes Film Festival and for which she received another Genie Award for Best Actress. Her other motion picture credits include, Bean, The Red Violin, Dancing at the Blue Iguana, and Permanent Midnight. In addition, she appears in Steven Spielberg's A.I.

Born and raised in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, Oh attended The National Theatre School of Canada, where an open casting call announced a production of Diary of Evelyn Lau. After six months of call backs, Sandra was cast as the lead and went on to win the Fipa D'or Award for Best Actress in the 1994 Cannes FIPA Festival. Additionally, she was nominated as Best Actress for the Gemini Award.

In addition to her successful television and film career, Sandra works to keep her theatre life alive by participating in many readings and workshops for the Mark Taper Forum, Playwrights Horizon, Women's Writer's Workshop, and Michael Grief's LaJolla Playhouse.

Sandra is a graduate of the National Theatre School of Canada. She currently resides in Los Angeles and had a recurring role on the WB sitcom Popular and the current hit CBS series Judging Amy. She also appeared in the telefilm Further Tales of the City.
